I currently have a gateway set-up. Everything is working fine, however, the gateway is registered under my account but is on a separate computer (this is so the computer can remain on at all times, as recommended). The issue is whenever my password is updated, I need to coordinate with the administrator of the other computer to update it which can cause the gateway to be down for a period of time.
Is there a separate, administrative account that the gateway should be registered on? It seems odd that it would run on a user's log-in information. Note that the user of the other computer is not a Power BI user.

Hi @Anonymous,
Gateway requires your Power BI account user (owner of workspaces and reports). If you would use a generic account which will not have the password changed there instead of yours.
So yes, it is better to register a separate account for Gateway.
Then you can link your PC user with Power BI user in Gateway mapping on the Power BI Service.
How would I go about creating a generic account? Will this generic account need to be given a Pro license?
