When is the DocumentDB connector coming out of beta

I'm trying to see if anyone has heard or know of when the DocumentDB connector will be production ready.

The Azure DocumentDB connector has just been introduced since Feb 2016 and is still under beta version. I have no idea on when the production version would release. If you're interested in it, you can keep one eye on the monthly release and always download the latest version.
