When are notification of data alerts send?

I have several data alerts. I notice that they are not triggered immediately when the data changes and reaches the condition specified in the threshold. I have tried setting the "Maximum notification frequency" with 24h and 1h but I still don't understand how the notification system works. Eventually all notifications for alerts are triggered, but they are not triggered immediately.
So my question is, how does Power BI calculate when to notify about a data alert?

HI @nanci,

Yes, this notice message may not be sent as soon as you wanted.
Normally data alert will send the notice when dataset refresh finished and value has over the target once per day. (it does not send the message even if these tile value over the target again)

If you want to trace some specific field values accurately, I'd like to suggest you create an MS flow with your dataset and create a trigger to send notification emails if it is suitable for the conditions.

as far as I know, data alerts should be send after a dataset refreshes (documentation).

If you still have issues, you could check the Power BI issues forum. And if it is not there, you could post your issue there.
