So we routinely store our pbix files in OneDrive for Business, and use the 'Upload a file' (awful naming, BTW, I'm not uploading, I'm Connecting) method for Connecting to those files. ie we never Publish to the Service.
I really like this method, but there's one thing I've never managed to work out. When you go to a Workspace you're unfamiliar with, and you see the dataset, you know that the pbix file is somewhere in OneDrive / SharePoint, but how do you tell where it is located?

Hi @samloud
You cannot see the location of pbix file directly in Power BI Service if you connect to pbix file in OneDrive or SharePoint from Service . But you can find the location with REST API . Here is the related API link , you can refer to it .
