What happens with data when a tenant is removed or deactivated

What happens with the data in the Power BI service after a tenant is deleted or deactivated?

Mostly a Live Connection to a tabular model is used, but, if I'm not mistaken, some metadata is still stored in the cloud. What happens with it (and imported data sets) after deactivation?

Thanks!

Hi @nospang,

I'm not so sure what you mean, can you please explain more about this?

If you mean group workspace, these contents will move to 'recycle bin' and will removed when cache files exceed to restore deadline.

For power bi license expire, it should similar as other office subscription licenses, related service will be frozen and remove when they exceed to restore deadline.

Thank you!

Do you also happen to know how long this restore deadline is?

Hi @nospang,

Maybe you can take a look at following document about office subscription expired:

What happens to my data and access when my Office 365 for business subscription ends?
