What happens when the AD account is de-activated and a user created Apps or Datasets?

I have an employee leaving soon that created several Power BI Apps, Reports and Datasets.  What happens after the account is deactived?

Do I need to takeover all datasets now?

Anything else others have experienced when this happens?

Hi @derekwilson74 

If the user is de-activated, the workspace he created will be an orphan, you should add yourself as the admin to manage the content inside it. 

Then If you'd like to share the dataset across the workspace, you can refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-datasets-across-workspaces

Yes, it would be best to create a workspace or multiple workspaces where you are the owner and move the datasets and reports to the shared workspace.
