I've reviewed the forums and PowerBI.com and can't really claim to have achieved any clarity on what the key differences are between the Free and Pro licenses. I have colleagues with differing opinions based on articles read or training course attended. I'd appreciate any clear statement of the differences. Hope someone can help me see the light.

@JamesMidgley All you really need to concern yourself with is what it looks like as of June 1st. With the release of Power BI Premium (new offering for large implementations) there were changes to Free and Pro.
The future looks like this:
Free - has almost all the capabilities of the current Pro - more datasources, use gateways, schedule refresh up to 8x per day, 10GB space. The major change is that there is no sharing of any kind. The only thing you can do is publish to web.
Pro - has sharing and apps, workspaces, and when sharing content both the report creator and reciever must have a Pro license.
Hope that clarifies things a little.
