Visuals not displaying due to invalid connection string

Hi All,

I have build a report using a Composite Model with 3 data sources, 2 csv files and 1 Direct Query from Oracle SQL Database. I have build the report on a company server and it seems to work great on PowerBI desktop. I have installed a Data Gateway on the Server which is active and have established the connestions on the PowerBI website. After testing them on Manage Gateways, all data sources of the Gateway are online and good to go. When I go to the report on the website thought it is not working. The visuals are not diplaying and I get an error saying:

"An invalid connection string has at least one of the passed argyments which does not meet the parameter specification. Please check the data source connection string".

The details of the error message are:

* Please note that I have exactly the same report on my personal laptop and installed a different gateway there. The report from my personal laptop works fine on the PowerBI website.

Is there an additional step that need to be done when publising from a server?

Anyone with a similar issue or that knows what I should do?

Hi @Anonymous,

Please restart on-premises data gateway service then test again to see if the same issue occurs.
