Hello! Currently, we are sharing individual report links externally. If a dashboard changes for some reason, then the link has to be resent out to the field. To fix this issue, we are considering moving towards an app to share reports. What are the downsides or are there any downsides to using an app? I know you can only have one app per workspace which could be a possible con/downside.
Solved! Go to Solution.
We share everything through apps so only
report creators in general are members of workspaces. It keeps things a lot cleaner.
You're right about the one app per workspace. We do the following:
One master workspace with a our datasets in.
Reports are then "thin" and stored in different workspaces each of which can have its own App. Only issue with doing it that way is that end users have to be manually assigned as viewers of the dataset rather than it sorting it for you if it were all in one workspace.

Thank you! Great ideas
