Hi there,
I have a question regarding updates from models in the cloud. The only way to update the shared model is to jump in the PowerBI file, refresh it manually and then publish it. After that I need to update it in the cloud.
Is there a way to skip the part with the file? I.e. to just refresh the data in the cloud?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Pascal

The power BI model can be directly dealt with using couple of options :
Tabular Editor (external tool) https://www.sqlbi.com/tools/tabular-editor/
Using SSMS - Connect Power BI worksapce using XMLA Endpoint connectivity and you will be able to refresh/Change dataset using XMLA on SSMS
Hi, @Anonymous
If you use a gateway, you can set schedule refresh instead of having to manually refresh every time. If your data source can be refreshed without a gateway, then you can configure schedule refresh after setting the credentials in data source setting.
