Unpublishing an App Effects on Reports Published To Web

Hi all,

Hopefully a simple one: I need to unpublish an app so that I can delete out and archive some old data and reports. What I want to know is will unpublishing the app have any effect on reports that I have set to Publish to Web (and that I'm keeping). A lot of these are being used heavily and I want to avoid a s**t storm if my actions were to take down the reports.

Thanks in advance,

Sam

Hi there

As far as I know unpublishing the App should not affect your Publish to Web reports.

I would complete the steps below to ensure that nothing breaks.
- What you could do is to create another App Workspace, upload a report and create an App.
- Set one of the reports to Publish to Web
- Then create and consume the App.
- Make sure that it works.
- Then remove the App.
- And see if you can still access your Publish to Web report.

Hi @Anonymous,

I have made a test with the steps similar with @GilbertQ.

By my test, it seems that unpublish the App will not affect your Publish to Web reports.

Thank you both for your answers and testing! I will run a similar test myself now...
