Use Case: The personal gateway is designed for scenarios where you have a single on-premises data source that needs to be accessed by a few users or reports. The enterprise gateway is designed for larger organizations with multiple data sources and a larger number of users.
That being said, if you have both gateways available and you have a larger organization with multiple data sources and users, it would be recommended to use the enterprise gateway as it provides better scalability, reliability, and management capabilities. In summary, you should always try to use an Enterprise Gateway for production environments.
