Unable to use URL Filter.

Hi Guys,

Trying to get this url (https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiMDVhNjdmM2ItNmE1YS00MmFkLWI4OTUtNWQyZmEzNmJlNGU3IiwidCI6ImU0M... XXPBI_SHIPMENT_MV/Item eq 'ICS-43432'  ) filter to work but it doesnt seem to be. The example url of microsoft on the white paper (https://app.powerbi.com/groups/4a892ce3-abe8-44eb-a3f7-9c58e6df9991/dashboards/f3f06cda-b07d-4d25-91... eq 'NC' ) wasnt working either. Would be great help if you'll could suggest me the reason.

Hi ajin,

There are a couple of things to be aware of when using the query string parameters, Please check if your URL is valid by checking tips below:

• When using the in operator, the values to the right of in must be either a comma-separated list enclosed in parentheses.
• In Power BI Report Server, you can pass report parameters by including them in a report URL. These URL parameters are not prefixed because they are passed directly to the report processing engine.
• Query string filtering does not work with Publish to web or Power BI Embedded.
• The long data type is (2^53-1) due to Javascript limitations.
