We have created one power BI desktop file which use/call WEB API through power query (Web.Content()method ) to call/import data.
When we refresh this power BI desktop file to fetch the data from the web api it works fine.
When we published this power BI desktop file to power bi cloud service and refresh/schedule refresh the Dataset (which get data from web api call) it given below mentioned error.

is it still not supported ? I am facing the same problem.
Hi dheeraj_pareek,
There's some limitation with Web.Content(), as a workaround, please refer to this documentation.

Hi Jimmy,
Thanks for adding the link.
I have gone through this link and checked the work around mentioned to pass parameters in the web URL.
I am facing 2 main problem, which is as follows:
1. We need to pass the "authentication token" inside the header of web url to get the information from REST API.
Do we need to configure this "authentication token" in power bi service as well?
I did not find any configuration area on power bi service for this.
2. when we configure some web link in data gateway it gives below mentioned error.
Error details: "Failed to update data source credentials: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel"
We have alredy configured the self siged certificate on the development machine on which we are using the power bi desktop and service.
Is the above mentioned error is due to ssl certificate?
Can you please provide some help on these issues?
Thanks
Hi dheeraj_pareek,
Please click dataset->settings->datasets->data source credentials to check if the credential option exists. Also please check if your browser supports SSL/TLS secure channel or not.

Jimmy Tao
Hi,
I'm having the same problem as Dheeraj. It's just a feature that is supported on desktop and not on the web version. There is no option to add header authentication on the web version: https://imgur.com/r537Kyy
In opposition to the desktop version: https://imgur.com/IUFCehT
