Unable to refresh report in Power BI Service

I get this one when trying to update my report in Power BI Service. Works perfectly in Desktop and worked in Power BI Service until recently.

Hi , @Kainev

According to the error details you provided, I saw such an error in Microsoft's back-end internal database:

failureTime=01/09/2023 13:19:23, err=The AS engine has raised an error XEvent: ErrorId:[0x0]

From the error message, it seems that an error has been reported in the AS engine that stores and runs the PBI dataset, but according to your case description, the data refresh failed in the PBI dataset refresh recently, and the desktop refresh is normal. If this is the case, we can try to republish the report corresponding to the dataset from the local to the service, build a new data model based on AS engine, and then reconfigure the data source credentials for data refresh to check whether it is successful.

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

Best Regards,

Aniya Zhang

I got this tonight:

The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.

Refresh failed:

Report has failed to refresh.

You can try to fix it as you mentioned.
