Hi,
I typically have not had too many issues when refreshing excel files when they are in the SharePoint cloud using my credentials and setting an automatic refresh daily. I currently have a dataset, which is using microsoft access database + microsoft excel tables both on the SharePoint server.
Message:
Microsoft Access: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. The 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine 2010 Access Database Engine OLEDB provider may be required to read this type of file. To download the client software, visit the following site: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=285987
With regards to the database engine, I have installed the database engine on my computer and am able to refresh all sources on PowerBI desktop with no issues. However, when put into the cloud service, the dataset is not refreshing effectively, I have to upload the desktop file again to do so. Does anyone have additional tips to get the automatic refresh to work?
Thanks much
HI @kghodge,
Do you use on-premise gateway to refresh you dataset? If this is a case, current on-premise gateway not support Access datasource, please use personal gateway to handle refresh operation.
