Unable to publish from desktop to Appworkspace - Aus South East

We are experiencing numerous reports of not being able to publish to the web service from the desktop editor. Log in is fine, seeing and selecting the AppWorkspace to publish to is also fine. Users are even asked to confirm the replacement of existing dataset...then the publishing process just never completes. I have checked the 'Service Status' which states no issues.  Anyone else experiencing this?
