Unable to publish app with new users added - Updated Version of Power BI App

I am getting below message whenever I try to publish the app after updating permissions list. Everyone suggests creating "new audience" tab but I do not want to proceed with that way. I would like to be able to add new users and than publish app which was the wasy with the previous version of Power BI App. This issue happened after updating the new version.

Hi, @beyzakarahan

According to the [Request ID] you provided, we can check your error message in the background database log system as follows:

"TIMESTAMP": 2022-09-06T13:07:56.8417514Z,

"EventText": Exception object created: Microsoft.PowerBI.MetadataService.AppAuthoringBadRequestException: Access list is too long. View name <ccon>[content removed]</ccon>

You click the "Update app" button in the upper left corner of the interface, and then click "Permissions" to see if the added members exceed the limit of the app:

You can have at most 100 users or groups in the access list for the app. However, you can give more than 100 users access to the app. To do so, use one or more user groups that contain all the desired users. You can refer to this document : Publish an app in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

You can reduce members, add a group in Microsoft 365, and then add the group to the app's permissions.

If this method does not solve your problem, can you provide your detailed operation steps and error message?

Best Regards,

Aniya Zhang
