Unable to publish app to AD Security Group

Hi,

In an attempt to make access management easier in our organization, we wanted to start using AD Security Groups as the basis for granting permission to PowerBI apps in PBI Service. But after testing, it just doesn't seem to work!

I'm able to select our Security Groups in a typeahead while maintaining Permission in the app, but the users in the group are not getting the app installed (if I select "automatically install"), nor do they find the app in "Get more apps". No users have access to the workspace, and that is not the plan - they should only have access to the apps.

Are there any pre-requisities or requirements for this to work?

The Security Groups are maintained on-prem and synced to Azure AD - has this something to do with it perhaps?

Hope anyone can help us find the reason for this strange behaviour 😞

Hi  @Vegard1985 ,

Need Power BI administrator has enabled this setting for you in the Power BI administrator portal, you can automatically install the application and push it to the end user

If the user does not immediately see the application in the "Applications" list, they should refresh or close and reopen the browser.
