I have a dataflow with incremental refresh activated. Every once in a while, I need to perform a full refresh and overwrite all the data. I could not find a direct way of performing this action in the GUI, so I turned to the API Refresh Dataflow
There is a parameter that could be useful: ProcessType = Type of refresh process to use
However, the documentation falls short of providing a list of supported values.
I tried 'full'. It was accepted but triggered a default refresh - i.e. incremental.
Has anyone information on supported values and whether it is possible to trigger an ad-hoc full refresh ?
This command DID NOT trigger a full refresh for me, just a standard one:
Invoke-PowerBIRestMethod -Url /groups/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx/dataflows/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx/refreshes?processType=processFull -Method Post -Body "{""notifyOption"": ""MailOnCompletion""}"
Any other suggestions? Thanks.
Yup, processType=processFull runs a regular refresh for me as well.
Hi @bdarbo78
I found this while digging through in Microsoft Power BI's github.
I believe the keyword you are after is "processFull"

Hi @bdarbo78 ,
It seems that you want to turn off incremental refresh for your dataflow. Please refer to option in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/dataflows/incremental-refresh#configuring-incremental-r... to turn off or turn on incremental refresh for your dataflow.
