Time data type doesn't work in Service but works when binned? (Direct Query)

Hello,

I have a Time column that is in the "Time" data type. I've found that when I bring this column into a table visualization, the visual doesn't load in service. However, if I group the Time column into 15 minute bins, there's no issue. Does anyone know why that's the case? Is there a way for me to show the exact Time without binning?

Hi @GilbertQ ,

No, the visual doesn't even load and I get the following error message on the top of my screen. I am the author of the report...

I did bin the time into 1 minute intervals and it seems to work now which leads me to think that the seconds in the original time were causing the error?

Hi @RYU209

What happens if you put the data into a table can you see the time?

I would also suggest to use the lowest level of 1 minute and see if that works?

Hi @RYU209

Yeah I have found that I have not needed to go lower than 1 minute intervals and this seems to confirm my understanding!
