Time Rendered in Table Changes - Bug or ?

I ran across this oddity when I created a non-numeric measure displaying the last updated date.  I set the measure to a table viz and turned off/on the show-totals option.  The time changed.

I recorded a clip to demonstrate: http://1drv.ms/1hvMAZQ

If that isn't a bug, I'd be interested in learning what the logic is behind this action.

That's pretty weird. I especially like how it switch BACK to the original time. I guess my thinking is that I would have expected it to always increase, you changed something so it updated, you changed something so it updated again kind of thing, but the changing back to the original time is really bizarre.

Did you try what you did but only switch the totals toggle once, saving the PBIX file, closing it, reopening and then toggling it back, does it still revert to the old time, or does the time increase again?

Yeah, odd one.  Prolly a bug.  Yeah, it flips back and forth, in this case by a few seconds.

I saved the pbix and reopened.  It still switches back and forth 2 seconds or so.

But, it's not literally NOW() if you haven't refreshed the model.  So, it's not like you're activating the NOW function to get the actual current datetime by flipping the switch.  It's just in how the table is rendering it I think.

Is this the forum for bugs or should I share elsewhere?

I've been tagging my posts as "bug" if they are related to a bug. Definitely not an "official" answer. I have seen suggestions to use the "smiley" icon in Power BI Service to provide feedback like this.  Click smiley, give a rating and then you have the opportunity to write some text and include a screen shot.
