I published an app from a workspace and on the Permissions tab of the Publish App workflow, I chose the "Specific individuals or group" option and added Diane's email to the list.
The only option I clicked on this page was Install this app automatically.
I do not want the user to have build permission and copy the reports in this app.
This app connects to a shared dataset located in the Admin workspace.
When I go to the Admin workspace, and to data sets and click on Manage Permission son the data set, I see Diane is listed here with Read permissions.
What am I missing??
Help, experts! 🙂
Does this dataset use Row Level security? If so, has Diane been added into at least 1 Role?
Great question, I knew I should have mentioned that.
The shared data set DOES have row level security (4 roles). But I do not want Diane to participate in that security as I want Diane to see ALL rows, so she has not been added to any of the roles.
This is your problem. A person who has no roles, sees no data.
What you need to do is create a SuperUser role, that has access to all data, then place Diane into that role.
