The system does not automatically update my published reports

I do not have the Power BI Pro version. I'm working with the basic Power BI version on the web.
I have done a Power BI report connected data to my SQL database in Azure. I can update the data set and schedule the update of the data set without problems
I shared the report but the data shown is not automatically updated. Why?
If I edit the report, I refresh the data and save the report in the shared report, then if you see the updated data in the shared report and share dashboard.

Is it possible for reports to be automatically updated when the dataset is updated?
Do I need to have Power BI Pro to do this?

Is your SQL database in Azure an Azure SQL DB or IaaS SQL Server running in Azure?

If you go to your scheduled refresh, do you see any errors, does it tell you the last time that it ran?
