The Average is Negative for Employees average open positions

I am brand new to powerBi and I have a dashboard someone made. It is calculating the average days an open position is active. It is for the HR recruitment team. The values are showing negative for a few people. I have added pictures to show the issue

Hi , @lamabriz

If you download the PBIX file, click on the corresponding measure or calculated column, and there is no formula displayed, then this data source may be associated with a dataset.

For your problem, you can try the following:
(1)Click "View lineage" in the report or dashboard.

Here we can see the data source associated with the report. We can try downloading the PBIX file of the first associated datset to see the formula for that calculated column.

(2)You can try downloading the raw data that generated the visual to infer the logic of this calculation or whether the raw data is used correctly. You can click the "Export to data" in the report page on this visual.

Then select the Underlying data if it can be slected.

(3)In the end , you can also contact the dataset owner to ask what the logic in this value:

Hi, @lamabriz

According to your description, the value is error you think . Right?

For this , if you have the dataset build permission, you can click "Download this file" to get the .pbix file.

Then you can check what the field put on this visual and it's calculation, you can also check the data is right or not.

I downloaded the file. I am still having trouble seeing the calculation. I am not sure how I can see where the data is coming from. This dashboard was created by another person. How can I check to see where the data source is coming from to check that data. I know its calculating an average but the negavtive numbers are strange.

Hi @lamabriz ,

Are you able to see how Avg Open Age is calculated? Is that a measure or coming from your data source?

I am not sure how to see how they got this data into the chart. It appears the data source is a sharepoint. I tried to see if there was a way to view the formula for this. I tried to get the formula bar to display but that was not working.
