Hi all,
My goal is to share schedulated update to users with updated PBI report, via email with link and picture (of report page). Curently I use PBI scheduled subscription, but the downside is that it doesn't check if report was actualy updated correctly.
I can create an alert that checks if report was updated and then use PowerAutomate to create a flow that sends an email, the problem here is that i can't put an image of the report page in the email.
Both features (update check and picture) are crucial.
Any suggestions?

IF you want to add an image from the Power BI report into the mail what you can do is to take a screenshot of the image and then put it in the Power Automate just like the email from Power BI. which you received!
Have a look at this too what if it might help you

Hello @Anonymous
You can try this!
What we can do is while creating a flow for the Email subscriptions we can add an image over there and the link of the report, so as the data will be updated the Flow will be triggered and mail will be sent with the Link and the Image!
And yes, as you said Power BI email subscriptions doesn't check for the update before sending the emails.
If you like my solution give it a Kudos!
And if it solves your problem accept it as a solution.

Hi @Nimai123 ,
Indeed it seems like a possible solution. Could you plese elaborate on how do you add an image of selected report page to the body of email generated in the Flow?

Hi @Nimai123 , I tried your solution dut it doesn't work. I think the problem is that I want to add an image of the web page from PBI report, so my input is a link to powerbi report, not an image. Do you have a solution for this scenario? Thanks

hello @Anonymous
We cannot take a screenshot from the automate but we can attach a screenshot in the body of the mail manually in Power Automate.

Hi @Nimai123 ,
By doing that the flow in power automate will not be automate ,
there is another way to make a PBI report to a IMG?
or to make the flow fully automate?
thanks
Daniel
Hello @Anonymous
I understand your concern you have to do it manually once, and for the future, it will be automated!!
Because we are working on a Workaround so we have to manage certain things.
Regrads,
I'm sorry @Nimai123 , but i lost you.
Can you please explain the whole process ?
1)Taking a screenshot of my report.
2)saving in my dextop
3)putting as a image to the automate.
4)running the process?
but whan i will refreshe the report how the screenshot will refresh?
Thanks
Daniel

Sometimes refresh doesn't succeed due to errrors or due to premium capacity overload
Hi @GilbertQ ,
For PBI reports and errors not always are caused by refresh, the data itself can be incorrect and thus I need to run few checks before releasing
