Hi,
Does manually re-uploading a.pbix file is counted as data refresh for Subscription: After Data Refresh (Daily)? Should I expect to get email notification about first such refresh during the day?
Regards,
Karo
Hi @v-eqin-msft , I have also done some testing and it seems that Subscriptions simply does not work when we manually re-uploading a .pbix file, but the Subscription is still active and visible. (I took into account the Considerations from Documentation). I am not sure if it is a bug or by design (unfortunatelly, I am not able to find the answer in Documentation), however, I decided to change from manually re-uploading a .pbix file to Refresh Now in Service and it seems that then (so far) Subscriptions are working.

Karo
Hi @karo ,
Sorry to disturb you...
But did I answer your question ? Please mark my reply as solution. Thank you very much.
If not, please upload some insensitive data samples and expected output.

Hi @karo ,
In my test, when you re-upload the pbix file, the dataset will be replaced as well. In other words, the dataset is no longer the previous one, so it is not a data refresh, In my opion ,you need to re-subscribe.
Please take a look at the official document for reference.

Hi @karo ,
A manual refresh does not count against your scheduled refresh. It depends how you refresh it but I don't believe that the subscription is sent with a manual refresh. I don't have time to test that right now but that would be a good thing to test.
I would appreciate Kudos if my response was helpful. I would also appreciate it if you would Mark this As a Solution if it solved the problem. Thanks!
