Subscription e-mail frequency in App workspaces (no selection of "weekly")

Hi all,

I recently rolled out App workspaces to my organization with great success.

As a part of this, I want my end users to be able subscribe to reports that are updated on a daily basis. In order to not recieve too many e-mail notifications I want them to select a "weekly" subscription for the report, but this option is not available unless you are a App workspace member or Owner it seems. Is this true?

I really want to be able to let my end users subscribe for a weekly update on reports that are updated daily without adding them as members/owners for each App workspace.

Can anyone please help me out here?

Thanks in advance!

\Mats

Hi @tjems,

Currently, setting email subscription will send an email to the address that you use to sign into Power BI, it doesn't support to specify other email addresses. So, if you want end users can receieve email subscription, you need to add them to WorkSpace members so that they have access (edit or read only) to workspace reports. you could upvote this idea here.

With regard to 'weekly' option, if the data source is direct query, both 'Weekly' and 'Daily' options are available. In an other condition where data source is import, if the refresh schedule is daily, options are daily and weekly. If the refresh schedule is weekly only option is weekly. Please see Subscribe to a Power BI report or dashboard for more details.
