Storage mode for downloaded PBIX

Hi,

Just a quick question regarding one thing i noticed.

There was a PowerBI Reports developed and published to the service, it was originally designed to be "Direct Query" Storage mode, however, when the PBIX file was downloaded from the service, customized it, saved it with another name, and then published to a new Workspace, i noticed that the storage mode changed to "Import".

has anyone come across this before and can advise on the behavior?

Regards

@Anonymous Typically it will warn you when you make a change to import, but the path is much easier now due to composite models. Its likely someone wanted to implement or use a feature in the report that is only supported via imported sources and clicked through the dialogue without understanding the change implication, or just missing it.
