Some parameters missing in the Power BI service

Hi,

One of my datasets doesn't reflect 3 of 11 parameters defined in the desktop, as shown in the screenshot below (service on the left, desktop on the right):

The missing parameters are of the Text type, with a list of selected values, a default and a current value, and they're set as required. I have other parameters that fit these same criteria that do show, so I'm at a loss. I checked the documentation and didn't see any documented restrictions.

I just republished the dataset to a new workspace (with the new workspace experience). I also tried this in a workspace set for a template app, where the 3 same parameters are not listed either when I try to create the template app. I'm using Power BI Desktop 64-bit, September 2019 (from the Windows store).

What is the maximum number of parameters that will be shown in the service? And what's the maximum length for text parameters? Anything else that might be preventing my parameters from appearing in the service?

Hi there

Are those missing parameters all driven off the "List of Values"?

If so what happens if you had to change one of them to the default?

I tinkered with some of the parameters, for instance I switched from Text to Decimal Number, and from List of Values to Any Value, they still don't show. It's like newer parameters just won't show in the service.

Could you confirm that you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop?

Hmmm I wonder why they are not working.

What happens if you rename the PBIX and upload it again, can you see all the parameters?

Uploading the file with a different name doesn't solve the issue. I tried it on different workspaces too. I think I'll have to open a support ticket as I can't share the PBIX publicly.

Yeah I would suggest a support ticket would be the best way to solve the issue!
