Single Data Item Alerts

Hi, is it possible to set up an alert for each individual item in a big dataset?

Example: We have a set of items (10.000+) and we measure the availability of them, when I pull that info in power BI, I can build a gauge that is showing me the average availability of all the items and I can set up an alert on the whole group which works fine, but I would like to set up an alert for each item if it drops below a certain threshold. Would that be possible?

Can I also set up a different threshold for each item?

Thanks.

Regards,

I think the answer is that, yes, theoretically you could do that. I also think that, no, you should not do that. Power BI is not the right tool for that. You need to look at something like a System Center Operations Manager or similar product that is essentially designed for that specific purpose more or less.

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

Well I know that Power BI is a reporting tool and what i'm asking is more of system monitoring tool, but I though there might be a way of doing this in Power BI as well.

Do you know an alternative solution with Power BI?

@Aljaz

As mentioned in documentation, data alert is only availabe in guage, KPI and card visuals, which can only work for aggregated data. You can't have it work for each data entry. You may submit a feature request on idea.
