Show pictures some love...

Hi,

 one of our clients work in the fashion industry, and in mostly every report they need product pictures.

Consider that every 6 month there is a new collection, and every collection has about 2.000 new combination of models, materials and colors... You cannot remember every product code, you need picture in the reports.

I tried to use them (with Image URL field) with the following Power Bi objects: plain table, matrix, and cards.

Plain table and matrix have problems with the auto-sizing of the rows. here is a screenshot:

After waiting 5-10 seconds and hitting refresh in power bi toolbar it gets them right:

But if I start to scroll the list, we are back with messed pictures:

This is the biggest problem, beside that, with matrix objects, I think it would be helpful/needed:

- to have options to have text auto-wrapping

- choosing on which detail rows to show total (showing also the total for the minimum detail level it just duplicate the same information...)

- have a "compact style" where instead of leaving all that white space, it could put the following columns right under the previous one

Cards are better in displaying pictures, but there is no way of sorting by value and they are very limited in choosing the way you want to display contents... you just try to increase/decrease width of the object and hope something nice comes up...

And also here, it's missing the text auto-wrapping option

@francorg This is a really good write up, and I'd hate it to get lost in the mix. This looks more like a bug to me than a new idea. I would submit a ticket here under the "Contact Support" section about the sizing issue. Microsoft has been really responsive with every ticket i've submitted.

I would include the new features you list in a new request on the user voice site here.

It's great that you shared this issue with the Community, but you'll find the other avenues a better means to get something fixed.
