Sharing with Clients and they're going to take over the dashboard

Hi,

I'm going to build the dashboard for the clients, and they will take over maintaining them eventually.

I have my pro license and premium capacity within my organization that I can share the dashboard with them but not allowing the client to edit. so, I'm trying to figure out what's the best way for the client.

Do they need to have their own pro license or premium license to assign me the role to build the dashboard? or is there any other way that we both can edit the dashboard?

Hi @kimherika

If they want to share the dashboard with you, they need to have at least a pro license.

If you want to achieve both you can edit the dashboard, perhaps you could consider adding the user as a contributor role in workspace. As the image shows, contributor can edit contents:

Similarly, if your users also want to implement editing the dashboard together, you can also be added as a workspace role.

Note that the role must be admin in the workspace in order for the user role to be assigned.

For more information about sharing dashboard and assign workspace roles, you can refer the following docs:

Hi @kimherika

Ideally if it is for a client I would suggest you get a Power BI Login/Account from the client.

You can then log in and build it as if you were a user on their network.
