Sharing ownership on dataset

I own the dataset on a report and want to my boss to be able to see the quick insights just like I do vs. seeing it on a dashboard.  Is there a way I can share ownership of the dataset?

Hi @jcastr02 

Yes there is a way to do this.

1. Go to the Dataset in Power BI Service

2. Click the "..." and at the bottum of the pop-up menu click "Manage Permissions"

3. Click the yellow "Add User" Button in the top right corner.

4. Enter your boss's email address and select "Add". They will now have all of the same capabilities as you regarding the dataset.

Alternatively, from the dataset screen;

1. Select the the "..." in the top right

2. Select Workspace Access

3. Enter your boss's email and add them as an Administrator. This will give them full access and power over all of the datasets (as well as the reports and dashboards) in the workspace.
