Sharing PBI report with free users

Hello,

to be honest I don't have that much experience with PBI cloud, mostly with reporting server.

For some reason I am not able to share with "organization members" my report

I tried to just give access to my colleague, that didn't work, put it into premium workspace and created an app, that worked for individual user, but not when I just want to publish app for all, I get this error.

Also is there some place where I can see what those permissions mean? Because on the other side, I want to have RLS in place, so I am not sure how much from dataset I can show in settings.

And they are all PBI free users, report is in premium workspace.

Can you please help me with it?

Hi @Anonymous

What you would need to do, is to go into the App Workspace.

Then go into Datasets.

Then click on your Dataset.

Click on Security

And all your users to the specific Role

Hi @Anonymous ,

You could set RLS rules and roles in the desktop.

Then add users to the role by the dataset security in service.

Thanks, is there way to add entire organisation to that list at once?

Or even some regex to add groups later

Hi there

If you configure it with Dynamic Row Level Security, then yes you could add the entire organization via the AD Group "Domain\Authenticated Users"

You would then have to ensure that you have got the right Dynamic RLS configured.

Here are more details: https://www.fourmoo.com/2018/02/20/dynamic-row-level-security-is-easy-with-active-directory-security...
