Sharing PBI report doesn't load ArcGIS maps

Hi all,

I made an PBI report that has some ArcGIC maps visuals in it. When I view the report in my workspace the ArcGIS map visual work perfectly. However, when I share the report with external users they can't view the ArcGIS map visuals. The visual generate the following error: ArcGIS Maps for Power Bi isn't shown because you haven't accepted the terms of use.

Unfortunately, they also did not receive the ArcGIS Maps window wherein they could accept the terms of use. Is there any way to fix this?

Help is highly appreciated!

We checked it and the settings are okay. We found a workaround using an incognito window. Using this window, user who didn't get the Arcgis maps acceptance of terms, will get this option now. Think it has something to do with cookies settings.

Anyways, thanks for the help!

To get around this, have the user enable ArcGIS maps for PowerBI. To do this, have the user log in to their PowerBI service -> Settings -> General tab -> ArcGIS Maps for PowerBI -> select and apply : Use ArcGIS Maps for PowerBI

Hi. This is strange. Please check that both tenants (the external users and yours) have the arcgis option in admin portal activated:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-arcgis#managing-use-of-arcg...

Consider that the account that consumes the report must be pro or the report must be in a premium capacity workspace. Arcgis will only work over power bi service, it can't be embeded or shared other way.

Regards,

Hi @ibarrau

Thanks for your answer!

The ArcGIS option in the admin portal is set organisation wide right?

To further specify our current case, we also used two guest accounts from our organisation. We found that one of the accounts could see the terms of use ArcGIS window, accept it and could use the ArcGIS visuals, while the other account did not receive the terms of use ArcGIS window and could not use the ArcGIS visuals. If the ArcGIS option in the admin portal is organisation wide, this doesn't seem to be the issue then right?

Kind regards,

Well if the tenant has the Arcgis option in admin portal in "on" and the final users have their "Settigs -> Settings -> Arcgis maps for power bi" option in "on" too, then everything should work. Let us know if those options are on and you continue with the problem then you might summit a ticket to support.
