Shared Dashboard Error

I've run into a problem when sharing dashboards.  When the person receiving the dashboard clicks the link they go to a gray screen and nothing happens.  If they log in  they can access the report though.

 

Any one else experiencing this?

Do you share the dashboard link like below to others?

If it is, could you share the screenshots about the issue so that we can help further on it? 

 

In addition, do your share the dashboard with tenant member or users out of your organization?

Yes, that's how I was sharing it.  The user (another person within my organisation so not external)  would click on the link in the email and the screen would be gray with no error messages.  The top of the window looked like this...Capture.PNG

 

Hopefully you can download that to get a better look.

What if you remove the shared dashboard from the user and send it again?

No same thing,

 

the person who received the dashboard in the test I just ran got the gray screen again with an address that starts with "https://app.powerbi.com/InvitationSignUp?" although I'm not sure if this gives us any clues about what's going on.

Does the user you shared the report with belong to the same email address (Tenant)?

Does the user you shared the report with have Power BI Pro?

The user I shared with has a PBI Pro License.  I don't really understand the tenancy thing, but our organisation has a number of licenses in O365.

What happens if you email the person the link?

 

Or if they click on Shared with Me?

If I send a link to a user who I've granted access to they can open it no problem.  Also if they log in and go to 'Shared with me' it's working too.  It's just when I share through the online power Bi that the recipient gets the gray screen issue.

Thanks GilbertQ, I just looked at that.  Our experience has been a little different to the one described there but I’m hoping this might all be connected and the fix will work for us too. pbi support.PNG
