Share with externals not working anymore?

Hello,

I have a report that has been shared with an external person before but that person can't access my report anymore. Also, when I try to add new external people to the report, it won't let me due to them belonging to another organization.

Is this something new? Because as i said, I was able to do this before but not anymore.

Hey @gustavjMC ,

from the Power BI side it should still be possible.

For me it looks like your power bi or tenant admin disabled the sharing. Can you ask in your company if that is the case? They could add you as an exception to be allowed to share.

If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍

Best regards
Denis

Hi @gustavjMC ,

1. Is it possible that your client has not accepted the invitation to view reports in your organization? Please reissue a new invitation and let the customer visit via the link.

2. Please check whether an administrator in your organization has restricted some options for sharing reports.

3. You can use a planned invite if you know which users to invite. Please refer to the following doc.

Distribute content to external guest users with Azure AD B2B - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Hope that's what you were looking for.

Best Regards,

Yuna
