Share Filtered Dashboard

Hello friends,

I would like to share my Expenses Dashboard with 2-3 Different Departments' Managers.

I's not a lot, so instead of playing with Row-Level-Sequrity, I thought creating 2-3 Dashboards (Pin Live Page from Reports)  that are filtered by a specific Department.

When I did this - I noticed that when they click it and go to the underlying report - they still see "Page Filters" and are able to choose another Department.

How can I set a filter that cannot be changed?

Is there a workaround without getting into Row-Level-Security?

Thank you,

Michael

@Anonymous use RLS.

Only workaround could be creating three different pbi files with only appropriate data for each manager and then creating proper dashboards.

Regards.

You would have to create an individual file for each manager that filters the data coming into the model. You could create this for one of them and then just copy your PBIX file 2 or 3 times and flip the department filter in the Power Query. Not optimal maintenance-wise.

Thanks, @PavelR , @Greg_Deckler

I haven't thought of filtering inside Power Query!

That will do it!

Thanks!
