Service Refresh to Salesforce returns The credentials provided for the Salesforce source are invalid

I've had this issue since Tuesday morning. When I enter credentials into Power BI service for the Data source credentials it is fine (no errors) but then when the dataset refreshes I get this error.

Odd part is that I have multiple datasets connecting to Salesforce and this is only occuring on some of them. All of them refresh in Desktop without error. I checked the login log in Salesforce and they all show success but then service still returns the above error after a successful (on the Salesforce side) login.

Things I've checked/tried:

  • Ensured API access is enabled in Salesforce
  • Reentered credentials for the data source
  • Reverted to previous version (July) of Power BI Desktop
  • Deleted dataset and readd in Service
  • Change Authentication browser to "Use my default broswer" in Desktop settings

That worked thanks! So was it essentially that the cache became too large and the delay caused the login to timeout?

it could be yes,

welcome
