Service Refresh Issue - Visuals one hour behind refresh time

Hello Team!

I am having an issue with service refresh. I have a report that is scheduled to refresh 8 times a day. The refresh happens without issue but for example if a refresh is scheduled for 9am and runs and finishes at 9:05am the visuals only show data through 8am. If the refresh happens at 3pm the visuals only show through 2pm. I have no time filters in place. Does anyone know what is going on here, I cannot figure this out, head scratcher here! Thank you so much for the help.

@rgreener - It's almost certainly because of time zone somehow. So in the Service it is running at 9AM but wherever the data source is located it is only 8AM?

@ me in replies or I'll lose your thread!!!

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

Hey  there and thanks for the reply,

In the service the update runs at 8am, finishes at 8:05 and all visuals show only through 7am. That pattern continues with each update throughout the day!

Thank you!

dataset creation and service update are same location, EST forgot to mention that

@rgreener ,

Can you provide some sample data about what you are displaying in your visual? That would be better to understand your scenario.

Thank you. The visuals are very simple showing avg response times for different vehicle types in an area line chart along with some cards dispalying those same metrics. The data set is comprised of service date, time, response time( calculated from two other fields) ,  lat and long ; the data set looks only at current day. Much thanks for any guidance

@rgreener ,

Are there any values supposed to be present between 7am and 8am(like 7:15am, 7:40am, etc.) or is this based on hourly data kike 7am, 8am, 9am, etc. ?

If it's the latter, try to schedule at 8:15am and see if correct data appears.

Give a thumbs up if this post helped you in any way and mark this post as solution if it solved your query !!!

Hello anbd thank you for reply,

It is the first. Basically this is event driven data where each event has a time that could be anytime throughout the day. I am just showing in the visual an average of all events each hour.
