Sorry folks, unabashed newb here.
I have a slicer on my report that allows for selection from a list of 25 names. Each one of those names has a score associated with it. Each one of those names also has a group name associated with it (Red Group, Yellow Group, Green Group, Blue Group.)
I want a Gauge that shows the score for that name (Value), the Target value to be the group score average of the group that name belongs to, and the max based on the max of that same group.
When I drop in score to Gauge Value, it appears as expected, but then the average and max are also that same score, because it's not averaging the group, its averaging just the one sliced data point.
This seems so simple, and I know I'm missing something. How can I get the Target and Max to reflect the average score while maintaining the individual score as the Value.
Thanks in advance for your time!

Hi @umtailgate ,
You can create two measures in desktop to calculate the average value and maximum value of each group.
avg_group = CALCULATE(AVERAGE('TABLE'[score ]),ALLEXCEPT('TABLE','TABLE'[Group]))
max_group = CALCULATE(MAX('TABLE'[score ]),ALLEXCEPT('TABLE','TABLE'[Group]))

Liang
