I have a scheduled dashboard out of Power BI service to receive via email. On the Power BI service itself the colors in both source report and dashboard look good (custom json theme, uploaded to dashboard as well), however when the email gets delivered (with the .png file) to my email, the colors are off for some tiles.
It is weird that I did not experience this issue before and was using it already, just, I think in the meantime, changed the subscription from daily to weekly and deleted some of the tiles I do not need there anymore. This does not seem to be a reason to me.
E.g. screenshot 1 is what I have in report and dashboarad, but it becomes what I see in screenshot 2 once delivered via email.
Can anyone advise something to try?
Thanks @lbendlin! When saying "a very long standing issue, with no indication that it will ever be resolved" you meen it is on Power BI / Microsoft side?
I already tried to change it, download, re-publish etc, but non of those helped.
I do have a Pro licence so I will raise a ticket there as well.
Thanks for reply once more!
Yes, the issue is that the Power BI service is not honoring custom themes/colors consistently.
this has been a very long standing issue, with no indication that it will ever be resolved. You can try to edit the report in the service (make a meaningless change, save, revert, change). If you have a Pro license you can consider raising a Pro ticket at https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/pro/
