Scheduled Refresh is Disabled after updating report on-prem and online data

I have a report that has a mix of on-prem data that is handled via the Gateway (on-prem data gateway setting) and sharepoint online.

When I edit the report in Power BI Desktop (latest March build) and then upload to the group, it tries to refresh after the upload and fails. It then tells me the scheduled refresh is disabled.

It has chosen by default the "Use your data gateway (personal mode)" rather than the "Use an On-Prem" data gateway" and also promptly loses the sharepoint credentials.

None of our 100% on-prem reports have this issue. Upload, they refresh, done.

Is this a bug, or expected behavior? Once I change it to on-prem and validate the sharepoint credentials, it works again until we make another change and upload.

hi @edhans

Can you confirm that you have installed the latest version of the On-Premise Data Gateway?

This latest version now has support for data sources from On-Premise and cloud (SharePoint Online)

Power BI Blog

Yes, I have. That is why it works when configured. It is just uploading a newer/modified version that breaks the Scheduled Refresh settings.
