I have a report in a Premium capacity workspace and have turned on Query Caching in hopes to speed up the report load time. My question is when does it refresh? Do I set the refresh frequency using the Scheduled cache refresh as referenced in this article? It specifically mentions the refresh works for dashboard tiles, but I have been unable to find if it applies to query caching for report data as well. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi @Anonymous
The Query Caching is automatically controlled by the Power BI Service.
If there is a change to the underlying dataset the Power BI engine is smart enough to know that there has been a change. It will then expire the cash so it gets the latest data.
Also the Query Cache does have a limit (Not sure what that is and will expire after a certain time)
I have found that this works really well and you always get the latest data.
Hi @Anonymous
No it will actuall speed things up, the engine is VERY good at making things faster!

Very cool, thank you @GilbertQ! And will the cache updating in the background slow down the load time of the report?
