Sales Analytics not showing custom fields

Hi

I'm using Sales Analytics in PowerBI to visualise our Dynamics 365 data.

I want to add some graphs based on custom fields that we have created within the Opportunity entity in Dynamics.

When we add new graphs, the field list on the right hand side of the dashboard, under Opportunity, doesn't show any of our custom fields.

Is there something that we need to do to add custom fields to the list?

Hi @OliverC ,

Are you trying to add some visuals in report in Sales Analytics app? We can't add custom visual on it since we can't copy report from it. If you want to custom report in app, you need to copy it to your own workspace.  "We can then customize the reports to our unique needs. We have to select the Allow all users to connect to the app's underlying datasets using Build permission option first" As described in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-create-distribute-apps#allow-use... .Sales Analytics app does not seem to provide such permissions.

We're able to add additional pages and visualisations. We've done that already, though only where we use the default fields.

Are you saying that we can't add any visualisations that use custom fields that we have created in Dynamics?

Hi @OliverC ,

Would you please show us some screenshot  to help me understand your issue?

We have these three custom fields in the Opportunity entity in Dynamics 365 (Wave 2 2020). We use these, along with the Estimated Revenue field to report on the value of opportunities. It's basic but works. An opportunity will be a combination of engineering, contract revenue and/or hardware revenue.

We want to create a pipeline for each of these custom fields, so that we can see the Engineering pipeline, etc. However those custom fields aren't showing the Sales Analytics field chooser when building a new pipeline chart.
