In our organization, most of the users often try to use the Teams group as workspace in Power BI. Even though I am a Tenant admin, not all the Teams group are visible to me in Power BI as I am not a member of it.
So I am not in a position to enforce certain standards within Power BI.
Is it possible to restrict users from using Teams group as Power BI workspace and force them to create workspace in Power BI service. If I restrict the former, then I can restrict users from creating workspaces in Power BI in the admin portal. Later I can create it for them and have some control around it.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Under Tenant setting -> Workspace settings, block classic workspace creation
After doing this, with new Teams group, new workspace would not be created.
Also in restrict workspace creation for limited members
To enable access to existing group workspace
Admin Portal -> Workspace
upgrade that workspace to V2 and then you can add yourself as Admin

Thanks Arvind. I have seen this option but didn't realize the purpose of it.
