Required license for Admin portal?

Hi,

Does the Power BI Admin portal require a Power BI Pro or Premium license, in addition to one of the roles needed?

The use case I am thinking of is an organization that has an M365 Admin that also could manage the Power BI tennant settings. Would that M365 admin account also need a specific PBI license or an Office 365 E5?

Thanks!

Hi @riwer ,

For admin access, the particular user who needs to have admin rights has to be assigned "Power BI Admin" role in Office 365.

Thanks Anand24!

But my question was: Does that particular user also need a Power BI Pro or Premium license? The user does not view or edit any reports, only manage tenant settings.

@riwer ,

Pro license is required mandatorily.
