Republish report for same dataset without creating new dataset

Hi all,

I have created a report in pbi desktop and published in service. It creates a data set in pbi service. With same dataset in have created couple of reports in pbi service. From that created report I downloaded pbix file and modified some logic and tried to republish, then instead of replacing existing file it is creating new dataset.

I want to replace to same previous dataset. Can anybody tell me how to do?

Hey @Shine_456 ,

From above image report 1 should replace to previous report in service. But it is creating another dataset.

Hey @Shine_456 ,

are you using the same report that initially created the dataset?
Do the dataset and the report have the same name?

Regards,

Tom
