Reports using Data Flows in Mixed Storage Mode error out with message - Credentials are invalid

Hi all,

I designed a Power BI Report with 3 tables that use only Data Flows for Data Source.

(Each table is coming from a different data flow)

Size of these tables are extremely large.

So I thought of using Mixed storage Mode.

I create a few Summarized tables and tried to refresh the report.

But seeing the below error message.

Is this due to configuration done by the administrator or is this a limitation in Data Flows?

 (For all data sources, permissions are granted by administrator)

Thanks,

Mannu

Hi @modi123p ,

According to the error message in your screen shot, it seems the credential of your data source is invalid... So could you please follow the steps in the below screen shot to edit credential of your data source first? Besides that, you can refer the method in the following thread to do it.

Can't schedule refresh in PowerBI Service

Credentials are invalid.JPG

If the above methods still not working, please provide the following information:

1. The data sources which used in dataflow

2. They are on-premises or cloud data sources?

3. Whether it works well in Power BI Desktop?

4. The setting of data source in Power BI Service is same with the one in Power BI Desktop

Best Regards

@v-yiruan-msft

Yes. I have already tried giving credentials  under OAuth2/Organizational

* The data sources which used in dataflow:  Impala on AWS

* Accessing the data flow without using gateways

* Works fine with just Direct Query/ Import mode on PBI Service.

* Works fine in Power BI Desktop

* Accessing data only through data flows. Settings are same in both Power BI Desktop and Service: Yes

@v-yiruan-msft

* Is composite Model supported for Data Flows?

* Using Pro License under Premium Capacity

* Tried hosting report in both shared capacity workspace as well as premium capacity workspace

* Report and Data flow in same workspace (in premium capacity workspace)

Hi @modi123p ,

Composite model which have import and DirectQuery data sources are currently not supported, you can find the details in the following documentation.

Use DirectQuery with dataflows in Power BI
